A Pontiac Vibe was traveling north on Hwy 10 near 105th St when an Unknown Black Car entered north Hwy 10 and cut off the Pontiac. The Pontiac overcorrected to avoid hitting the Unknown Black Car, and entered the median. The vehicle rolled coming to rest on it's roof in the southbound lanes.
A Chevrolet Silverado was traveling west on 95th Ave crossing Hwy 10. The Silverado slowed in the median and then pulled out into the lane in front of a Buick Lacrosse that was traveling north. The Lacrosse struck the Silverado.
A Toyota Camry was traveling West on County Road 9 crossing Highway 71 when it was broadsided by a Dodge Dakota. The passenger of the Toyota was transported by air. The driver of the Toyota was transported by ambulance. The driver of the Dodge was transported by air. The two passengers of the Dodge were transported by ambulance.
Semi was traveling westbound and SUV was traveling eastbound. The SUV crossed the center line. The driver of the semi, Bruce Angen, swerved to avoid colliding but the semi sideswiped SUV. The SUV went in ditch and rolled. Driver of SUV, Kerdell Wittmier, was transported to Lakewood Hospital, treated for minor injuries and released.
The commercial truck driven by Rivet was SB on Hwy 53. The Ford passenger car driven by Potter was facing WB on CR 950 (Long Lake RD) at the crossover. The Ford pulled out to cross SB 53 lanes as the truck approached. The truck swerved to avoid the other vehicle but did strike the Ford, then rolled over onto its side.
A Yamaha Motorcycle was traveling south bound on Interstate 35 at Highway 23 in Sandstone. A deer entered the roadway from the west toward the east. the deer then went back to the west. The Yamaha struck the deer causing the bike to lose control and slide. The rider was transport via ambulance to Essentia Hospital in sandstone with minor injuries.
All vehicles were stopped for a red light Westbound on Highway 2 at Adams Ave when the Dodge Pickup truck approached the intersection. The Dodge failed to stop in time and rear ended the line of vehicles, pushing each vehicle into the one ahead of it. The driver of a Chrysler Town and Country stopped at the red light was transported to Bemidji Hospital with non life threatening injuries.
The Jeep Compass driven by Braegelmann was traveling north on Main St crossing Highway 23 in Cold Spring. The Volvo semi driven by Stoks was traveling eastbound on Highway 23 when it went through a red light and struck the Jeep. Following the crash the semi and trailer fully loaded with hay caught on fire, causing traffic to be detoured around the crash for several hours. The driver of the Jeep was evaluated on scene for non-life threatening injuries.
The Chevy Cruze driven by Binder was traveling east on Highway 12 when it stopped for a pedestrian entering the crosswalk. As the Chevy stopped it was rear ended by the X5 BMW driven by Zheng. The passenger of the BMW was transported by Cokato Ambulance to Litchfield Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
A Buick Lacrosse was traveling eastbound on Highway 14, turning northbound onto Highway 61 when the driver struck a signal light pole.
Driver was transported to local hospital by Winona Ambulance with believed non-life-threatening injuries.
A Yamaha motorcycle was eastbound on Highway 16 when the driver failed to negotiate a left-hand curve. The motorcycle exited the roadway and into the right ditch.
Driver of the motorcycle was found deceased at the scene.
A semi tractor/trailer hauling pigs was traveling westbound on Interstate 90 near Dakota when the driver lost control and rolled, blocking both westbound lanes of traffic. Driver was not injured. Westbound lanes were re-routed for approximately five hours during vehicle and animal recovery.
