| Description |
The Minnesota Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Management (HSEM) is now accepting applications for the Federal Fiscal Year (FFY) 2023-2024 Hazardous Materials Emergency Preparedness (HMEP) Grant. This Grant Program is available to political subdivisions and other entities to help local responders prepare for hazardous materials transportation incidents.
Funding is available for Planning and Training Activities.
HMEP grants are used to develop, improve, and implement emergency plans; train public sector hazardous materials (hazmat) emergency response employees to respond to accidents and incidents involving hazardous materials in transportation; determine flow patterns of hazardous materials within a state and between states; and determine the need within a state for regional hazardous materials emergency response teams.
